    AN INVESTIGATION ON THE ERROR OF CALIBRATING EXTERIOR POINTS WITH INTERIOR POINTS

    This study was to investigate the accuracy of calibrating exterior points with interior points using a frame with the same structure as Peak frame. Two cameras were used. Some points of the frame were used as control points to calibrate others using the DLT method. When we calibrated exterior points with interior points, the minimal and maximal errors were 0.171 cm and 1.797 cm respectively in the horizontal direction (X), 0.213 cm and 4.856 cm in the horizontal direction (Y), 0.103 cm and 1.608 cm in the vertical direction (Z). When we calibrated the interior points with exterior points, almost all errors were less than 1cm. It was concluded that to get the most accurate 3D reconstruction of human movement, it is necessary to make sure that the space formed by control points contains the objects to be calibrated

    Extraction and Purification of a Lectin from Red Kidney Bean and Preliminary Immune Function Studies of the Lectin and Four Chinese Herbal Polysaccharides

    Reversed micelles were used to extract lectin from red kidney beans and factors affecting reverse micellar systems (pH value, ionic strength and extraction time) were studied. The optimal conditions were extraction at pH 4–6, back extraction at pH 9–11, ion strength at 0.15 M NaCl, extraction for 4–6 minutes and back extraction for 8 minutes. The reverse micellar system was compared with traditional extraction methods and demonstrated to be a time-saving method for the extraction of red kidney bean lectin. Mitogenic activity of the lectin was reasonably good compared with commercial phytohemagglutinin (extracted from Phaseolus vulgaris) Mitogenic properties of the lectin were enhanced when four Chinese herbal polysaccharides were applied concurrently, among which 50 μg/mL Astragalus mongholicus polysaccharides (APS) with 12.5 μg/mL red kidney bean lectin yielded the highest mitogenic activity and 100 mg/kg/bw APS with 12.5 mg/kg/bw red kidney bean lectin elevated mouse nonspecific immunity

    A Feasible Semi-quantum Private Comparison Based on Entanglement Swapping of Bell States

    Semi-quantum private comparison (SQPC) enables two classical users with limited quantum capabilities to compare confidential information using a semi-honest third party (TP) with full quantum power. However, entanglement swapping, as an important property of quantum mechanics in previously proposed SQPC protocols is usually neglected. In this paper, we propose a feasible SQPC protocol based on the entanglement swapping of Bell states, where two classical users do not require additional implementation of the semi-quantum key distribution protocol to ensure the security of their private data. Security analysis shows that our protocol is resilient to both external and internal attacks. To verify the feasibility and correctness of the proposed SQPC protocol, we design and simulate the corresponding quantum circuits using IBM Qiskit. Finally, we compare and discuss the proposed protocol with previous similar work. The results reveal that our protocol maintains high qubit efficiency, even when entanglement swapping is employed. Consequently, our proposed approach showcases the potential applications of entanglement swapping in the field of semi-quantum cryptography.Comment: 17 pages, 6 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2210.0342

    Semi-quantum private comparison and its generalization to the key agreement, summation, and anonymous ranking

    Semi-quantum protocols construct connections between quantum users and ``classical'' users who can only perform certain ``classical'' operations. In this paper, we present a new semi-quantum private comparison protocol based on entangled states and single particles, which does not require pre-shared keys between the ``classical'' users to guarantee the security of their private data. By utilizing multi-particle entangled states and single particles, our protocol can be easily extended to multi-party scenarios to meet the requirements of multiple ``classical'' users who want to compare their private data. The security analysis shows that the protocol can effectively prevent attacks from outside eavesdroppers and adversarial participants. Besides, we generalize the proposed protocol to other semi-quantum protocols such as semi-quantum key agreement, semi-quantum summation, and semi-quantum anonymous ranking protocols. We compare and discuss the proposed protocols with previous similar protocols. The results show that our protocols satisfy the demands of their respective counterparts separately.     TRIM37 interacts with PTEN to promote the growth of human T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia cells through regulating PI3K/AKT pathway

    BackgroundTRIM37 has been reported to be associated with the tumorigenesis of cancers. However, the role of TRIM37 in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) remains unclear. This study aimed to characterize the effect of TRIM37 on T-ALL.MethodsTRIM37 expression in T-ALL patients and T-ALL cell lines was determined by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Knockdown or overexpression of TRIM37 was conducted by transferring small-interfering TRIM37 or lentivirus-mediated transducing into T-ALL cells. CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry assay were conducted to analyze the proliferation and apoptosis of T-ALL cells. Co-immunoprecipitation experiments were conducted to investigate the relationship between TRIM37 and PTEN and the ubiquitination of PTEN.ResultsOur results suggested that TRIM37 expression was upregulated in the blood of T-ALL patients and T-ALL cell lines. Knockdown of TRIM37 noticeably inhibited the proliferation and promoted apoptosis of T-ALL cells. Ectopic expression of TRIM37 promoted the proliferation and suppressed the apoptosis rate of MOLT-4 cells and enhanced the phosphorylation of AKT. Moreover, TRIM37 interacted with PTEN and accelerated the degradation of PTEN via TRIM37-mediated ubiquitination in T-ALL cells. Moreover, TRIM37 reduced the sensitivity of T-ALL cells to bortezomib treatment. Additionally, PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was involved in the function of TRIM37 in T-ALL. TRIM37 contributed to the proliferation of T-ALL cells and reduced the susceptibility of T-ALL cells to bortezomib treatment through ubiquitination of PTEN and activating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.ConclusionsOur study suggested that TRIM37 could be considered as a therapeutic target for T-ALL

    A Novel Method for Evaluating the Cardiotoxicity of Traditional Chinese Medicine Compatibility by Using Support Vector Machine Model Combined with Metabonomics

    Traditional biochemical and histopathological tests have been used to evaluate the safety of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compatibility for a long time. But these methods lack high sensitivity and specificity. In the previous study, we have found ten biomarkers related to cardiotoxicity and established a support vector machine (SVM) prediction model. Results showed a good sensitivity and specificity. Therefore, in this study, we used SVM model combined with metabonomics UPLC/Q-TOF-MS technology to build a rapid and sensitivity and specificity method to predict the cardiotoxicity of TCM compatibility. This study firstly applied SVM model to the prediction of cardiotoxicity in TCM compatibility containing Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and further identified whether the cardiotoxicity increased after Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata combined with other TCM. This study provides a new idea for studying the evaluation of the cardiotoxicity caused by compatibility of TCM
